Will Melson, President
Consulting & Technology Service Line Leader

Will serves as the firm’s consulting and technology practices leader. With over twenty years helping companies solve complex problems, he advises hospitals, physicians and healthcare companies to set strategic direction, develop in-depth analysis and design, and then lead implementation of performance improvements. His experience encompasses mergers and acquisitions, operational improvement, change management, organizational design, cost containment, revenue enhancement, strategic planning, and IT planning.

Will has advised clients in deals with a combined value well over nine  billion dollars ($US) and is a frequent speaker on mergers and acquisitions.  Most recently he co-presented with the senior litigator from the FTC and deal-making and regulations.

He has served as a principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers and interim CEO of several organizations as well as a Captain in the US Army. Will holds a B.A. in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, as well as MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Fuqua Scholar.  He serves on non-profit boards and is a frequent speaker and author.

Rhonda White, NP
Senior Clinical Advisor

Rhonda White, NP has over 20 years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner and is a senior clinical advisor with BGI who assists clients in all aspects of clinical, nursing, quality and advisory services.  Her wide-ranging areas of clinical practice include Internal medicine, Family practice, Women’s health, Geriatrics, and Retail health. Rhonda is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner and is a Ga Registered Nurse/NP. She holds a Dual Master’s degree from Emory University in Nursing and Public Health.  As a senior leader in BGI, Ms. White focuses on clinical delivery, quality, joint commission prep, clinical excellence, administration improvements, health education, analysis and patient satisfaction.
 
As a Nurse Consultant, she is able to provide expanded and autonomous clinical practice, make complex decisions, provide leadership, education and support at a clinical level. Her role at BGI is to advance the practice of others and provide leadership at a strategic level to implement change and innovation in clinical practice.

Brian Wade, Executive Vice President
Client Partner

Brian Wade joined BGI with over 20 years of leadership development, change management and training expertise. He serves as the firms business and organizational development leader. Any given week you will find him in with employees on the floor, or in scrubs in an OR, or a suit in the Board Room, or in various meetings with C-suite clients and staff.  He uses his relationship skills to help clients manage change, develop leaders who have significant impact on results and implement new programs.  On the “opposite” end of the scale, he is particularly adept at helping organizations prepare for accreditation.  As the Executive Vice-President and Client Partner, Brian works with you from the conception of the project to its completion.  Brian combines well thought out solutions with pragmatic experience.  He graduated #1 in his graduate class and will soon complete his doctorate.  He will ensure that your BGI experience is second to none. After all, it is BGI’s results and relationships that set them apart from everyone else.

Heather Creran

Heather Creran, Laboratories Practice Leader

Heather is the firm’s laboratories practice leader and a senior C-suite advisor.  Previously she was President of EGL and NTD – Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics and CEO of CSI Laboratories.  Heather has extensive strategic and operational know-how in driving growth and transformation. She has led strategies to turn around underperforming companies, led complex integration processes, launched new products and services, built partnerships, and expanded commercialization.

Heather’s areas of expertise include cost reduction and operational efficiencies, commercial and reimbursement strategies, team leadership, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration, and customer service and experience.

Heather serves on advisory boards and committees with high profile non-profit industry and government organizations.  She received her B.A., with majors in Economics and Political Science from Duke University.

Hal Runkel, EVP, Human Behavior Practice Leader
